The Military-Connected Resource Center encourages our students to seek academic assistance through one of the many programs offered at UNO.

Academic Advising at UNO

We work closely with Academic Advisors across campus to ensure they are aware of particular needs associated with serving military-connected students. We encourage students to talk to their advisors regularly.

For more information about Academic Advising at UNO, contact the Academic and Career Development Center (ACDC).

UNO Academic Support Centers

UNO offers many excellent tutoring resources to help you find success throughout your collegiate experience. Using these services is as easy as making a phone call and setting up an appointment.

The Writing Center has three locations conveniently located across the Dodge and Scott Campuses:

  • 150 Arts & Sciences Hall (ASH)
  • Main Floor Criss Library
  • 129 Mammel Hall (MH)

The Math-Science Learning Center (MLSC) offers peer tutoring, facilitated study groups, and additional resources.

The UNO Speech Center assists all UNO students, faculty, and staff in preparing oral presentations and/or incorporating them into their courses.

Library Resources

Don't know where to start with your research paper? Start by making an appointment with your librarian.

Librarians can help you:

  • Find a research topic
  • Make a research plan
  • Search for scholarly books, articles, and other sources
  • Properly cite your sources

The MCRC-partnered Librarian, Tammi Owens, is readily available to help students with and research and documentation questions.
