Brandeis Jensen"Hello! My name is Brandeis Jensen. I studied abroad during the Fall semester of 2019 in Ghent, Belgium, and in Aarhus, Denmark during the Spring semester of 2020. I’m getting a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics with a minor in Sustainability, and a Bachelor’s of Arts in English (British Literature), with a minor in Spanish. I’m a Super Senior preparing to graduate this year (finally!). I’m passionate about sustainability and I have aspirations to advocate for environmentalism and responsibility of waste choices in the United States. I hope to bring tips from other countries on how they live and adapt their lifestyles in response to the pressures of climate change so that I can instill that same sense of accountability in the United States as we are among the worst polluters in the world. Katie Maxwell"Hi! My name is Katie, and I am a senior here at UNO. My major is English with a concentration in Language Studies, and my minor is Spanish. Last spring, I studied abroad in Ghent, Belgium during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I had the opportunity to tour castles, try local foods, and make friends with other students from all across the globe. Although my program came to an abrupt end because of the virus, I experienced a month of independence, new friendships, and learning to navigate an entirely new lifestyle. Whether you are considering studying abroad for a few weeks for a full semester, you will return with a brand-new perspective of the world around you. It’s an adventure that will stay with you for the rest of your life." |

Wendy Forlemu"Hi there, my name is Wendy. I am currently a sophomore here at UNO majoring in Business Administration. My first study Abroad experience is actually here in America. I was born in Cameroon, which is located in central-western Africa. I moved here in the seventh grade and have been here ever since. My experience was a challenge at first but I adapted and eventually loved it. Which is why I want to study abroad again. If I could, I would study in as many countries as possible. I actually planned on studying abroad this fall semester but with the Covid-19 pandemic, that was not possible. So hopefully I can study abroad in the near future, preferably, somewhere in Western Europe." |
