General Education Assessment Committee
The General Education Assessment Committee of the University of Nebraska Omaha reviews and reforms general education courses to continually improve UNO's academic programs. The Assessment Committee aims to enhance students' development of skills to successfully respond to the challenges and demands of the 21st century. UNO is committed to a process of assessment that is faculty-driven, student-centered, and meets the needs of individual programs.
- To develop better courses for our students.
- To ensure the General Education Courses are appropriate for the foundation of individual programs.
- To improve the General Education Program through internal, rather than external feedback.
- To illustrate departments' needs by gathering evidence for the programs.
