Foundations of Faculty Search Training
Through this training, you will learn how to participate in an effective and efficient search committee; actively recruit an excellent and diverse pool of applicants; raise awareness of unconscious assumptions and their influence on the evaluation of applicants; ensure a fair and thorough review of applicants; develop and implement an effective interview process; and select your new faculty colleague.
IMPORTANT NOTES TO OPTIMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE:
- Reserve approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to complete this training.
- Use a laptop or other computer rather than a mobile device/phone as some devices do not support the interactions included in the training.
- Review the UNO Faculty Search Guidelines and Toolkit before launching the training – download the Guidelines here.
- To access additional online resources during the training, open a new browser window rather than a new tab in the window where the training is running. Opening a new tab in the training window will interrupt or terminate the training session.
- You can use the Prev button to return to previous slides. However, you will need to progress through each slide again to move forward.
