Faculty Leadership Forums
Faculty Leadership Forums offer opportunities to:
- Connect faculty members from multiple disciplines
- Promote shared professional development interests (Chairs and Directors, Graduate Program Chairs, Research Center Directors, and Pre-Tenure Faculty)
- Compile and disseminate existing knowledge to promote best practices
- Support collaborative processes to explore beneficial opportunities
- Build a greater sense of community and continuity among individual campus entities
- Provide development opportunities for new or potential leaders on campus
Applications are available on NuRamp at the start of each Fall semester.
Faculty Leadership Forum Requirements
1. Each FLF must have a minimum of three members. There is no maximum limit.
2. Each FLF must submit a brief proposal by October 5 that outlines:
- the focus of the group
- several issues the group would like to explore and work on during the course of the academic year
- anticipated meeting times/dates for the group
- a list of names and departmental affiliations which identifies a group leader and all active participants
3. Each FLF must meet a minimum of three times per semester during the academic year .
4. Each FLF must submit an activity summary by April 1 of the academic year in which they convene that reports:
- Regular attendees
- accomplishments for the year
- proposed ideas/issues for further exploration in upcoming year
