Placement Exams
Only students who have been officially admitted to UNO are eligible to take these exams. For information about exam guidelines, schedules, results, or how to register, please select the exam you need below.

Accommodated Exams
The Testing Center is available for UNO students with a disability who require exam accommodations that cannot be provided in the classroom.
Make-Up Exams (for UNO Students)
Make-Up Exams are proctored for all UNO faculty who have an arrangement with the Testing Center for this service. Faculty approved students who have a Make-Up Exam to be taken at the Testing Center will need to schedule their testing appointment on MavLINK.
Online Distance Education (DE) Exams
Online DE Exams are proctored for Faculty who have made arrangements for this service with the Testing Center. Students enrolled in a DE course that have exams to be taken at the Testing Center will need to schedule their testing appointments on MavLINK.
Credit by Examination
Credit by Examination allows students the opportunity to gain academic credit for knowledge acquired by self-study or experience.
Proficiency Exams
These Exams assess whether you are proficient in a specific area of study.
Admission Exams
These Exams are entrance exams that are required prior to being admitted to a specific academic program.
Proctored Correspondence Exams
The UNO Testing Center offers proctoring services to individuals that need to take proctored exams from institutions other than UNO.

UNO Distinguished Scholarship Competition
The University annually awards five Distinguished Scholarships. These scholarships have a total estimated value over a four-year period of $31,000 to $33,000.
All five are awarded through the UNO Distinguished Scholarship Competition. Academically talented high school seniors are invited to campus each spring to compete by examination for these top awards. Up to 10 additional scholarships are awarded to the top alternates.
Incoming freshmen must apply for admission by February 1 of their senior year to be considered. UNO will accept ACT/SAT scores through the February test date of your senior year.
