Insert Game Here is Omaha’s freshest summer game jam event dedicated to teambuilding and the growth of the professional game development community in Omaha. As always, we are 100% FREE, and for 2020 we are 100% ONLINE.
Using a combination of Zoom, Discord, Twitch, and itch.io, participants will build new teams, design and work remotely, stay in touch over the weekend, and present their games. Thanks to itch.io this year the "Awards of Questionable Value" will be open for voting one week after the event is over so all games game be downloaded and experienced by the public.
We welcome first time game developers! Designers, artists, musicians, programmers, voice actors, hobbyists, educators, and anyone is welcome to try their hand at making a game. Participants should bring anything needed to make your video or physical game....because you'll be at home making it all happen. If video games aren't your thing or access to hardware is an issue, you're encouraged to test the waters by making a board game!
Anyone can participate, as long as they are over the age of 19. More information (and all past games!) can be found at insertgamehere.org
Join the event discord server for up to date information and to meet the dev community!

Prior to the start of the event, Mutator Challenges will be announced across discord and itch.io to guide folks down the path of thinking about game design new and creative ways.
Friday evening on all platforms, the secret theme is announced, discussed, and organizers help everyone brainstorm and build teams. Saturday is completely open worktime with check-ins, filesharing, and discord chatter. Sunday is everyone's final opportunity to polish and finish their games. Videogame source code and executables are uploaded, and digital or printable versions of rules and pieces for boardgames are made available. Sunday evening everyone that made a game presents their work, talks about their process, and gets a healthy heaping of kudos.
