Marya Hornbacher, UNO MFA in Writing, faculty and author of Wasted: A Memoir of Anorexia and Bulimia; Madness: A Bipolar Life; Sane: Mental Illness, Addiction and the Twelve Steps and other books will present on the role of the patient's voice in the medical humanities.
Her presentation will be followed by a panel conversation with Dr. Timi Barone, Associate Professor, Sociology & Anthropology; Kevin Clouther, Program Coordinator, MFA in Writing; Dr. Michele Desmarais Associate Professor, Religious Studies; Dr. Tammie Kennedy, Associate Professor, English; and Dr. Roma Subramanian, Assistant Professor, Communication.
The panel and presentation will take place on Tuesday, April 9, from 4:30 P.M. - 5:30 P.M. in CEC 230. Food and beverage will be available.
