How do I make an advising appointment?
Students can find view their advisor's availability and schedule an appointment from their computer, tablet, or phone. Academic advising appointments are available Monday - Friday. Students should schedule their advising appointment via MavTRACK.
What is MavTRACK?
MavTRACK provides access to online scheduling of advising appointments and information regarding campus resources. For advisors, MavTrack is a central location to track appointments, keep notes and files, send messages, and more.
What username and password do I use?
Students log into MavTRACK using their UNO NETID (ex: jsmith) and NETID password. This is the same username and password students use to log into Canvas. Prospective students and transfer students who experience trouble with MavTRACK or cannot their advisor in their Success Network, should contact firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment.
When should I meet with my advisor?
Students typically meet with their academic advisor at least once a semester to ensure they are enrolling in the correct courses, and meeting the requirements of their degree program. During the fall semester, peak advising time is October and November. During the spring semester, peak advising time is March and April.
Students can see their enrollment window in their MavLINK account, and should take that window into consideration when scheduling their advising appointment. Information regarding enrollment windows is also posted on the university registrar's page.
