Dr. Yunwoo Nam is an associate professor of Community and Regional Planning, and a fellow of the Center for Great Plains Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Dr. Nam is the recipient of UCGIS (University Consortium for Geographic Information Science) junior faculty award. He received his Ph.D in City and Regional Planning from University of Pennsylvania. He also studied Public Administration and Public Policy at graduate level. His research interests include Spatial data analysis with innovative GIS (Geographic Information System); Healthy, active and sustainable community development; Public Participatory GIS and Social media; Spatial dynamics of urban fabrics; Social capital and community development; Urban policy and human settlement patterns; Civic engagement in public policy and planning; Policy network and governance; Innovative Growth management; Redistricting political/administrative boundary change with GIS etc.
