MPAC TPAC SELC: Omaha Conference 2017
Wednesday, May 31 - Friday, June 2, 2017
Together, Midwest Public Affairs Conference (MPAC), Teaching Public Administration Conference (TPAC), & Social Equity Leadership Conference (SELC) invite you to explore this year's overarching theme:
Nearly two decades into the new millennium public administration scholars and practitioners, in America and globally, face a number of challenges in dealing with the ever more complex problems of changing workforce demographics, providing affordable health care, environmental sustainability and social equity and inclusivity to name a few. How do we successfully address these challenges? How can administrative success be enhanced through how public administration is taught? What competencies are needed to prepare students to be successful in public service? Together, these conferences explore these challenges and others along with alternatives for addressing them and demonstrated best practices.
The conference begins Wednesday evening, May 31 with an informal welcome reception. The conference will run all day Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2. The conference will conclude with a lively reception featuring the UNO Jazz Band on the evening of Friday, June 2. We look forward to seeing you in Omaha!
The conference registration fee ($150 for faculty and practitioners | $75 for students) is the same rate for each conference. Conference attendees are welcome to attend sessions at any conference. Sessions will be located on the UNO Campus. Lunches and receptions will be held together. Catch a glimpse at the Conference Schedule to begin your planning!
