The annual Promoting the General Welfare Conference returns to the College of Public Affairs and Community Servie (CPACS) on March 21 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The conference will showcase union presenters speaking to issues of economic and social justice. This year's keynoter speaker is Sara Nelson, President Association of Flight Attendants, speaking on the state of organized labor in the U.S.
The conference is organized into three workshops, including: Teaching Labor in the Schools; the Importance of Building Coalitions for Economic and Social Justice; and Women in the Building and Construction Trades.
