Steiner Selected for National Work Group on Administrative Segregation
Professor Benjamin Steiner was invited by National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Director Nancy Rodriguez to be a part of the NIJ’s topical working group pertaining to the use of administrative segregation in prisons and jails. The working group, which is comprised of nationally recognized experts from a variety of academic, practitioner, and policymaker settings, will convene in Arlington, VA on October 22nd and 23rd to discuss administrative segregation and our current understanding of its use. Professor Steiner will speak on the relationship between institutional violence and administrative segregation.
