Ryan Guthridge, MBA
Ryan Guthridge is the Chief Ground Instructor for the Aviation Institute. His duties include instruction of FAA Part 141 ground school courses, supervising the Aviation Institute’s simulator instructors, conducting aviation-related research, and coaching the UNO Flying Mavs. He has taught Private Pilot Theory, Commercial Pilot Theory, and Certified Flight Instructor Theory.
Ryan has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from the University of North Dakota, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas, and a Professional Certificate in Business Intelligence and Data Mining from the University of Texas at Dallas. Most recently, Ryan was the Business Manager for a start-up UAS company based in the local Omaha area. He has also held positions as a Weather Modification Pilot, Technical Pilot, Flight Data Analyst, and Engineering Operations Leader.
Ryan holds type ratings in the A320 and B737, as well as CFI, CFII, and MEI certificates. Additionally, he has been certified by the FAA as an authorized Instrument Flight Procedure Validation Pilot and is a previous NIFA National Top Pilot.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys volunteering for The First Tee of Omaha and the National Intercollegiate Flying Association, playing golf and hockey, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his wife, Andrea.
