Every spring semester the Cybersecurity program chooses one student to be the outstanding student honoree for that year.
Guidelines
November: The cybersecurity faculty will shortlist students. Minimum cum. GPA to make it to the shortlist, among other factors, is 3.5.
Mid-December: The shortlisted students will be requested to submit a packet containing the following before the end of the Fall semester: A resume and a cover letter highlighting the following including any supporting documents
- Evidence of participating in extracurricular activities related to cybersecurity
- Cybersecurity-related internships and/or job experiences are undertaken during the academic career
- Brief description of independent research topics pursued and related contributions
- Any other items they think make them deserving of the honor
January: The faculty will review the packets submitted by shortlisted students and nominate one student for the award. The student must maintain a cum GPA of 3.5 or better at the time of nomination.
