The University of Nebraska at Omaha has been actively monitoring the rapidly evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and providing regular updates to the UNO community as the situation changes. The health and safety of our community continues to be our primary concern in this fluid situation. At this time, a majority of campus-sponsored events are canceled or postponed through the end of the Spring 2020 semester. Please continue to visit unomaha.edu/coronavirus for daily updates provided by UNO.
CodeCrush has been moved online. If you were accepted into the program, please check your email or with your teacher about the event moving forward.
CodeCrush Immersion Experiences were created to show 8th and 9th-grade students, and their mentoring teachers, the world of IT. For three days, the UNO College of Information Science and Technology inspires CodeCrushers to take a deeper look at IT through hands-on experiences with emerging fields such as bioinformatics, IT innovation, music technology and cybersecurity.
Students and teachers stay on campus and experience Omaha through our eyes: checking out the IT departments of global corporations, meeting women IT professionals, and visiting the behind-the-scenes of local attractions. The days will be packed with dinners with IS&T students, staff and faculty, panel discussions with women in the field, as well as lunch with an IT mentor.
