2014 May Convocation
The College of Information Science & Technology faculty and staff extend our warmest welcome to the students, families, and friends joining us during Commencement Weekend at UNO on May 9th and 10th, 2014.
Friday, May 9:
6:00 pm University of Nebraska Omaha Commencement - Pep Bowl (Inclement Weather: Sapp Field House)
A university-wide celebration of all UNO student achievements, graduating students and faculty join in a processional into the Pep Bowl, where the Chancellor confers all degrees and conducts specialist and doctoral hooding. Students must check in at HPER 128 by 4:45 pm dressed in academic regalia and ready to be placed in marching order according to college by their Undergraduate Marshal and personnel from the Records and Registration Office.
7:30 pm All Campus Reception - Milo Bail Student Center Plaza (Inclement Weather: Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom)
Saturday, May 10:
10:30 am College of IS&T Convocation Ceremony - Scott Convention Center
A celebration of all College of Information Science & Technology achievements, graduate and undergraduate students and faculty join a processional into Scott Conference Center to be individually recognized and receive their diploma cover and gift from the College. Participating students must check in at Scott Conference Center by 9:45 am dressed in academic regalia and ready to be placed in marching order according to school by the student marshals and staff from the College of IS&T.
11:30 am College of IS&T Lunch Reception - Scott Convention Center
All faculty, graduating students and their guests are invited to a buffet luncheon reception immediately following the IS&T Convocation ceremony.

Free parking is available on all surface lots and in both Dodge Campus garages for the May 9 activities. Students and their families are encouraged to park in Lots 9 and 14 near the Scott Conference Center for the May 10 activities.
All participants are required to wear academic caps and gowns appropriate to the degree they are receiving. You may order caps, gowns, hoods and graduation announcements in person or by mail from the University Bookstore in the lower level of the Milo Bail Student Center. Direct your questions about regalia and graduation announcements to the Bookstore (402) 554-2336.
Each candidate who participates in the Convocation ceremony will receive a diploma cover from the Dean upon arrival at the stage. A professional photographer will take your picture as you are handed your diploma.
