Dr. Paula M Jakopovic

Paula began her career in the teaching profession as a sixth grade teacher for the Omaha Public Schools in 2003. In subsequent years she transitioned to working with instructional technology, and eventually into the leadership role of elementary mathematics coach for the district. Paula is a UNO CADRE alumni, and joined the TED team in Fall 2018 as a full time instructor. She currently teaches the Methods of Teaching for Elementary Mathematics for pre-service teachers, as well as a number of graduate courses during the summer.

Paula currently serves on the Graduate Elementary Education Program Committee in the department of Teacher Education. In the community, she collaborates with the Omaha Public Schools as a consultant on their five year Math Task Force, and works with area school districts to provide professional development opportunities for in-service teachers in the area of mathematics education.
