Celebrating Young Children Conference

The Celebrating Young Children Conference is an annual event to recognize the positive impact of early childhood educators in the lives of young children in the Omaha area. Participants will connect with other educators serving children birth to age 8 while learning about empowering and engaging best practices in early childhood.
A Community Resource Fair will be held in conjunction with the conference, featuring local organizations who support the work of early childhood professionals.
Sessions include:
- Outdoor Play for Toddlers, presented by Dr. Miriam Kuhn and Dr. Danae Dinkel
- Developing Partnerships with Families, presented by Dr. Kerry-Ann Escayg
- Interactive Teacher Play Centers
- Learning with Blocks
- Caring for Infants and Toddlers
- Drama with Young Children
- Math in Early Elementary
- Project Approach
Keynote: Joy, Risk, Love and Justice: Making Visible Stories of Play in Early Childhood presented by Julie Nicholson, Deputy Director with the Center for Child and Family Studies at WestEd
