Do you ever wonder how kangaroos jump so high? And how cheetahs run so fast? Come to our Biomechanics-themed camp and find out!
Spend two days learning about the science of movement with the scientists from the Department of Biomechanics. Participants will spend one day at the UNO's Biomechanics Research Building exploring how our bones, muscles, and brains help us run, jump, and play. Participants will also get hands-on experience with state-of-the-art tools used for research AND movie and video game production. Then, as newly-trained movement scientists, daycampers will spend a day at Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium investigating how all the animals run, jump, and climb.
