Academic advising is integral to fulfilling the teaching and learning mission of the School of H&K. Through academic advising, students learn to become members of the university community and to think critically about their roles and responsibilities as students.
Students and academic advisors assume shared responsibility in the advising process. The ultimate responsibility for making decisions about educational plans and life goals rests with the student. Advisors in the School of H&K provide a host of services including sharing information about program options and requirements and assisting with short and long-term academic plans. All majors are encouraged to maintain regular contact with their academic advisor.
Advisors see students by appointment during office hours. Students can schedule appointments by contacting the advisor designated to them by program. For more information on the advising process, please contact the H&K Academic Office at 402-554-2910 or stop by H&K 207.
