Mr. Scott Edward Vlasek

Mr. Scott E. Vlasek is a Lecturer Faculty Member within the School of Public Administration / Aviation Institute at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Mr. Vlasek has a Master of Public Administration degree with an Aviation concentration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Studies along with minor concentrations in Space Studies and Criminal Justice from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Mr. Vlasek oversees the Aviation Institute's internship program and is faculty advisor to the Institute's Flight Team, the Flying Mavs, which is sponsored by Jet Linx Aviation. In 2012 the team won the prestigious Loening Trophy for the university as the most outstanding collegiate aviation program in the country. Scott is active in a number of aviation organizations including the Nebraska Business Aviation Association, the University Aviation Association, and serves as a Council Member for Region VI of the National Intercollegiate Flying Association.
Scott holds a Private Pilot Certificate and enjoys golf, working out, attending UNO sporting events, and spending time with his wife, Karisa, and their daughter Izabella.
Mr. Vlasek's teaching includes Introduction to Aviation and Aerospace, History of Aviation, Business and Corporate Aviation Management, General Aviation Services, and Aviation Marketing.
