This Week's Presentation
This week's seminar series features Dr. Sara Myers, from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Myers' presentation is titled "Using Internal Funding and Research Development Programs to Advance Your Research."
The Office of Research and Creative Activity (ORCA) exists to invest in research, scholarship, and creative activity endeavors, help them flourish, and maximize their impact. To contribute to this mission ORCA offers funding programs for students and faculty, as well as other support to help faculty develop competitive research programs for external funding. Dr. Myers will give overviews of these programs, including eligibility and deadlines, and provide information about resources available to help advance research at UNO.

About the Speaker
Sara A. Myers, received her PhD at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2011 while using biomechanics to better understand functional impairments in patients with peripheral artery disease. Dr. Myers is currently the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research and Creative Activity and a Professor in the Department of Biomechanics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Her current research is focused on improving quality of life in older individuals and those with peripheral artery disease. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veterans' Affairs, and NASA.
