Teaching Philosophy
“I educate writing students about the realities of traditional publishing, especially in young adult literature, and help them hone their craft through a practical approach. I use current fiction titles as examples for elements, craft, and philosophy. Through workshopping and conversation, I encourage students to stretch themselves creatively and find their own voice. Through sharing my experiences in and passion for (young adult) fiction, I hope to inspire others.”
