Warm Call Appointment Setting
This over-the-phone competition pairs students with Northwestern Mutual sales professionals. Through classroom training, students learn to set an in-person meeting using a referral person and respond to objections through a three-step process. Our partners at Northwestern Mutual help train the students in small group practice sessions in the classroom and receive the live phone calls acting as the prospect. Students assume the role of Northwestern Mutual professional, answering questions and closing on a time to meet in person. Students gain real-world prospecting experience in a business to consumer sales situation. This event takes place each semester thanks to our partners in financial planning at Northwestern Mutual.
