UNO's Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Franchising hosted the 2018 Maverick Business Plan Competition on Tuesday, April 17.
Six finalists pitched their business plans to a panel of experts for a chance to win up to $3,000 in prize money.
FIRST PLACE: CollegePrep
Through artificial intelligence and machine learning, CollegePrep seeks to give everyone equal access to top-tier college preparatory resources in a free, personalized and scalable way using a cloud-based platform.
SECOND PLACE: Pairie Legal LLC
Prairie Legal provides comprehensive virtual attorney services to rural Nebraska.
THIRD PLACE: BittWell Media
BitWell Media specializes in the development of brokering apps that bridge gaps between isolated markets.
