Program Details
Pre-Program Courses
The Executive MBA pre-program courses are self-study, non-credit courses taken before you start the Executive MBA program. The curriculum gives students the business basics. Students who do not have a business degree will learn the foundational knowledge to successfully perform in the core business disciplines.
You will not need to take any business course prerequisites prior to entering the EMBA program.
This gets you and your classmates on the same page before you even step foot into the classroom. This also permits Executive MBA faculty to spend less time going over fundamentals and more time on information that is immediately applicable to your job.
Pre-Program Courses Covered:
- Financial Accounting
- Fundamentals of Economics
- Excel (optional)
- Corporate Finance
Immersion Weekend
The three-day immersion program focuses on critical areas that will set students up for academic success and professional growth. Students will begin their executive leadership journey through exploration of individual leadership assessments.
Executive Leadership faculty and other experts will guide the class through a complete look at current leadership capabilities and students will use the information to build a leadership development plan.
The weekend also includes the one-credit executive communication course that focuses on improving business writing and presentation skills.
