Sign Up for SONA

Visit the link above to request an account. Complete all fields on the form.

For User ID: Create a username to log into SONA. Preferably something you will be able to remember easily.

For Email: Please use your @unomaha.edu address for this field.

For Birthday: Enter your birthdate. You must be at least 19 years of age* to participate in most studies.

*If you are under the age of 19, please email domalley@unomaha.edu for alternative study options.

For Courses: Add any classes from the list that you are taking. Double-check course/section numbers to make sure they are correct. You must update this list for future semesters.

After all fields are completed, press request account.

SONA will send you an email containing:

  1. User ID (This will be your username on the SONA website)
  2. SONA Identity Code (Sona ID)
  3. Your automatically generated password (change this to something you can remember)

We recommend saving this email for future reference and changing the password that was assigned to you.

Your SONA ID is a 5-digit number unique to you. Researchers will see this number instead of your name when taking a study. Our study surveys require you to know and enter this number in order to receive credit.

Now that you have finished account creation, move on to the next section.

Returning Participant? Visit the CAB Lab to sign up for a study!

The Koraleski CAB Lab will be open Monday-Thursday during the fall semester, time TBD. Please stop by 270 Mammel Hall to meet with a lab assistant. They will help you choose and sign up for a lab study.

By taking a lab study, you get the full lab experience, including the use of our state-of-the-art technology like eye-tracking, galvanic skin response, and facial recognition! *Your participation in these studies contributes to the success of UNO graduate students, faculty, and the College of Business Administration.*

All in-person classes will complete their research participation by making an appointment to come to the Koraleski CABLab MH270. Please arrive 10 minutes prior and bring your SONA ID number.

All totally online/remote classes may complete their research participation online, or you may complete your research participation by making an appointment to come to the Koraleski CABLab MH270. Please arrive 10 minutes prior and bring your SONA ID number.
