Background

Dr. Benjamin-Alvarado joined the faculty at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) in 2000 from a previous teaching and research position at the University of Georgia, where he also received his Ph.D.

Besides his teaching duties, Dr. Benjamin-Alvarado is the Director of the Intelligence Community Centers of Academic Excellence Program at UNO.

Dr. Benjamin-Alvarado’s research has been published in the Journal of Political Science Education, the Nonproliferation Review, Political Science Quarterly, and Urban Affairs Review.  

He is the author of Power to the People:  Energy and the Cuban Nuclear Program published by Routledge Press and the editor of Cuba’s Energy Future: Strategic Approaches to Cooperation published by the Brookings Institution Press.

This professor is available for consultation regarding Sustainability topics.
