Nadira Ford-Robbins began working as the Lead Advisor in the Health Careers Resource Center in October 2018. She is a native of Staten Island, NY, and moved to Omaha, NE at the age of nine where she grew up in North Omaha and attended the Omaha Public Schools. Nadira is a proud alumna of Omaha Burke High School…Go Bulldogs! As a Goodrich Scholar, she graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication and minor in Psychology. In 2010, Nadira earned her Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the College of Saint Mary. Nadira is also a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, and provides coaching services to her students and other on-campus partners. Nadira has taught undergraduate courses in Healthcare Collaboration & Leadership, and Critical Thinking for first-year students. She also teaches Leadership in the Women’s and Gender Studies program at UNO.
Her hobbies include spending time with her husband and kids, cuddling her Yorkie, dancing, and coaching Drill Team at Burke. Nadira also serves her community through active involvement in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. where she is the second vice president for the Omaha Alumnae Chapter.
