What do you like best about UNO?I get to be myself! I love that the university community represents all kinds of diverse backgrounds and experiences. I don't have to fit a mold to be part of the UNO family. There is a place for everyone to fit in.
What do you like to do most in Omaha?I love eating out. The Benson area has a nice Spanish place and another Peruvian style restaurant with great seafood offerings. Have you ever had Mexican food buffet style? Yep, we have it in South Omaha and it's delicious.
What would people be surprised to know about you?I like airports (I know, random). There is always something different going on. I have met very interesting people but just starting a conversation. It is also a great place to make somebody else's day by doing something small. People tend to be stressed out in airports.
If you could go back to college, what is one thing you would do differently? If I were back in college for my undergraduate degree I would do two things differently. The first one would be to explore Greek Life, and maybe join a sorority. The second thing, I would focus less on needing to graduate quickly and take time to take interesting classes. Oh, this takes me to a third thing; I should have worried less about a major that would convert into a job. College is a time to explore, learn, and discover what you are really all about. It is the mix of experiences and education that will pave your career path, not just a degree.
