Tell us a little about yourself…
Before moving to Omaha I was in Montana working on my Master’s in Counselor Education. While out West I learned that I love the outdoors. I have been utilizing state parks around Nebraska to camp, hike and float the river! I have two dogs Hank and Ditka that love to be outside with me too. If I’m not camping, I’m still outside golfing in the summer or skiing in the winter. And if it’s too hot or too cold, I’m definitely indoors watching Netflix.
What is your favorite thing about UNO?
The commitment to our students. UNO’s goal to put students first in everything that we do. Whether that is academically, socially or athletically. UNO has and continues to do this in the upkeep of the campus, strengthening relationships with community partners and providing opportunities for students to work with highly qualified faculty and staff. The student-centered atmosphere and UNO makes it great.
What do you like to do most in Omaha?
I love to try new local restaurants. So far my favorite spots to eat are Taqueria Tijuana in South Omaha, Enzo’s in Florence and Beacon Hills in Aksarben. I look forward to finding more local eateries
