Scholarship Appeals will be required when a student does not meet the expectations set forth by the Buffett Foundation. Students must:
- maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- complete 9 credit hours a semester, and 18 credit hours in an academic year.
Students must also earn credits when they attempt credits to ensure they are meeting scholarship expectations. If a scholar does not meet expectations, they will be contacted within 48 hours of the end of the semester to let them know they have not met expectations. They will be given a chance to "appeal" to the Buffett Foundation to keep their scholarship.
The appeals are generally due 48 hours after one has been notified of their need to appeal. If you have questions about needing to appeal, please reach out to Dusten via email.
Once a student's appeal is accepted, they are given academic support (academic intervention) as a way to help the student get back on track with the scholarship. Academic intervention is required as a part of the acceptance of the appeal.
