Summer Bridge Faculty Program
In 2020, UNO is launching a new faculty summer bridge program, where we will welcome a cohort of up to 15 faculty to join the UNO community July 1 and spend a focused six-week summer program on key concepts including:
- Best practices for online teaching
- Leveraging academic technology strategically for student success
- The UNO student profile | aligning teaching strategies with UNO’s mission and current campus initiatives
- High-impact practices for instruction
Top priority for this program will be given to new faculty who will be teaching online in 2020-2021. Second-tier priority will be given to instructors seeking to increase technical competence/confidence that they initially deploy in face-to-face classes that would then purposefully and intentionally build to online delivery within the first few years of their UNO teaching appointment. If the program fills with all top-tier priority candidates who will be teaching online right away in 2020/21, then additional applicants who match with second-tier criteria will not be admitted.
Nominations will be accepted from Deans Offices and Department Chairs, and should be sent to Jaci Lindburg at firstname.lastname@example.org.
