2019 Recipient: Erica Rose, UNO College of Education
Each Spring, a UNO faculty member is recognized with the Outstanding Innovation in Teaching with Technology Award. Sponsored by ITS, the Outstanding Innovation in Teaching with Technology Award honors faculty who have implemented outstanding innovative teaching approaches shown to increase student learning, engagement and success. Innovative teaching is defined broadly and may include:
- The use of new instructional technologies, the use of traditional technologies in creative ways;
- The adoption of teaching strategies that scale through the use of technology;
- The adoption of tools or integrations that engage students in the learning process.
The award recognizes faculty members who have contributed significant, creative teaching innovations that promote effective and deeper learning.
Faculty Honor Roll
In 2020-21, UNO will launch a faculty honor roll recognizing outstanding online teaching at UNO. A team of faculty and campus administrators are currently determining criteria for the recognition, which will be updated here once it is available. Being named to the honor roll will carry a $100 stipend toward professional development. The honor roll is open to all UNO teaching faculty, both full- and part-time.
