Vice Chancellor for Strategic Institution and Student Success
- Oversee operations related to enrollment management, institutional effectiveness, and student success to optimize (a) prospective and current student preferences, (b) institutional objectives, as well as current and future employer demand for graduates.
- Work in conjunction with institutional and college-level marketing units to develop and implement effective strategies targeting and enrolling prospective students.
- Collaborate with existing and new community college partners alongside internal constituents to streamline transfer pipelines and improve curriculum efficiencies.
- Promote data-driven decision-making at the institutional and college levels to improve institutional effectiveness and student success.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives promoting continuous improvements in both progression and post-graduation student success outcomes.
- Engage external constituents and hiring entities to identify opportunities to grow current academic programs, modify existing curriculum, and launch new offerings aimed at bridging current and future market demand.
- Collaborate with deans and chairs to promote growth in high-demand programs as well as the proliferation of strategic interdisciplinary initiatives.
UNO seeks a strategic thought leader, collaborative campus partner, and proven administrator with an innovative, consistent track record of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to serve as CDO.
The appointee is expected to assume the position in January 2022. Reporting directly to Chancellor Joanne Li, the CDO will be a highly influential leader focused on deepening UNO’s ongoing efforts to create a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive community for all faculty, staff, and students.
Under the general direction of the Chancellor, the CDO will lead a universitywide effort to evaluate existing programs, policies, and practices currently in effect, making recommendations leading to a more efficient and cohesive operation.
