will give a talk on

Congruences of Restricted Partition Functions

Abstract:
In this talk I will describe my experiences at a Math REU and then present the results of my research. It will consider restricted partition functions of the form pk(q2m+b), for certain primes q, with k=3,5,7. For each k I will analyze which primes q satisfy $p_k(q^2m+b) \equiv 0 \bmod k$ for all natural numbers m. I will then prove my results by applying a common method of proof to each case.
