Let $a_1, a_2, a_3,\ldots,a_7$ be integers, and let $b_1, b_2, b_3,
\ldots, b_7$ be the same integers rearranged. Show that

\begin{displaymath}(a_1-b_1)(a_2-b_2)\cdots (a_7-b_7)\end{displaymath}

is necessarily even.

Generalize!
