Problem of the Week

Rules and Regulations:
  1. Cash prizes will be awarded at the end of each semester to participants submitting the largest number of correct solutions. In the event of a tie, the POW Committee reserves the right to conduct a run-off.
  2. Solutions should be submitted in DSC 203.
  3. Solutions must be carefully written and complete.
  4. Solutions are due by noon on the Friday of the week problem is posted.
  5. A new problem, solution to the previous week's problem, and names of those submitting correct solutions will appear on the following Monday morning.
  6. At least 4 correct solutions must be submitted to receive a prize.
Some problems appearing in this contest have been taken from published works. The sources are not cited for obvious reasons.
