Cultural Activities:

Eid days
Eid
Al-Fitr, or the Celebration of Breaking the Fast
which marks the end of Ramadan.The first three days
of Shawal are the Eid days.
Eid-ul-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice is celebrated
throughout the Muslim world as a commemoration of
Prophet Ibrahim's (PBUH) willingness to sacrifice
his son for God. Eid-ul-Adha is celebrated on the
tenth day of the month of Zul-Hijja.
Community Service:
With about two thousand Muslims in this community,
we try to stay involved by participating in both educational
and social activities. These include:
Sunday
School Teaching at Islamic Center of Omaha.
Volunteering
for events sponsored by the Islamic Speakers Bureau
of Nebraska.
Assistance to new students:
In order to assist new international students and
particularly Muslim Students to adjust into the new
environment; our organization can also provide the
following services:
Pick
up airport
Give
them transportation to various places such as a ride
to the social security office or to the bank, grocery
store.
