Vince Olea

Vincent A. Olea earned his B.A. ('92) and M.A. ('03) in Theology from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.

For the past 13 years he has worked as the Director of Youth Ministry at St. John Catholic in Encinitas, Ca. In working with teens, Vince often uses film as a way to view life's relational patterns. He is particularly interested in contemporary constructed rituals and hopes to enter a PhD program (ritual studies) in the Fall, 2006.

Mr. Olea's most recent articles include, "Crash: The Collision of Opposites in the Human Spirit,” in Radical Grace, Vol. 18, No.4, July - August 2005 and "The Boat: A Constructed Rite for Ministry with Teens” in Ministry & Liturgy April 2003.
