Frederick J. Ruf
Frederick J. Ruf is Associate Professor of religion in the Theology Department of Georgetown University. He has a Ph.D. from Harvard University in the Study of Religion, an M.A. from the University of Chicago Divinity School, and a B.A. from Williams College with a major in religion.
He is the author of two books, The Creation of Chaos: William James and the Stylistic Making of a Disorderly World (SUNY 1991) and Entangled Voices: Genre and the Religious Construction of the Self (Oxford, 1997). He is currently completing Bewildered: Travel and the Quest for Confusion.
