She is author of Dreamers, Scribes and Priests: Jewish Dreams in the Hellenistic and Roman Eras (Brill: 2004), as well as numerous articles in Second Temple Judaism and Religion and Film. She is Co-Chair of the Religious Experience in Early Judaism and Early Christianity Consultation of the Society of Biblical Literature (2005-2008) and was formerly on the Steering Committee of the American Academy of Religion's Religion, Film and Visual Culture Program Unit. She is also Founding and Senior Editor of GOLEM: Journal of Religion and Monsters. Current research interests include apocalypticism, cosmologies, religious experience in antiquity, and monsters in ancient and contemporary religions. |
