Public Health Week child care hand washing campaign, 1999

Thanks to Tiffany Sutter for coordinating this project and to Colgate-Palmolive for funding this campaign. Proper hand washing techniques were demonstrated by public health nurses and volunteers to approximately 1800 children in child care centers in Columbus, Lincoln and Omaha. The campaign began during National Public Health Week, April 5-9, 1999 and continuted until all the Colgate-Palmolive kits were distributed to the children. Media coverage included televison spots on network televison in Omaha and Lincoln and newspaper coverage in Lincoln.
