BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS WITH K-12 ENDORSEMENT
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN STUDIO ART WITH K-12 ENDORSEMENT

This program gives students the option to teach Art K-12 or the capacity to pursue graduate level work in an MFA or M.Ed. program.

The degree requires 165 credit hours.

ACADEMIC CORE REQUIREMENTS (52 hours):

English/writing (9 hours)
   6 hours of English Composition
   3 hours of Creative Writing (may be counted toward Fine Arts elective)

Humanities (including Public Speaking)
    Philosophy 3220 Philosophy of Ar; English 2300 Intro to World Literature; 3 hours of elective humanities

Fine Arts (6 hours)
   (courses in College of Fine Arts other than Art & Art History)

Social Sciences (12 hours)

Natural Sciences (9 hours)
   (may include biology; chemistry; physical geography; geology; computer science; upper division math with no more than 6 hours in one area.)

Intermediate Algebra or equivalent (3 hours)

Cultural Diversity (6 hours)
   (Cultural Diversity requirement may be fulfilled through courses in the major, humanities or social sciences.)
