MAV KIDS STAFF: These college students work hard to make your child’s summer safe and enjoyable. Both highly motivated and energetic people, the counselors attend a week-long training orientation to ensure a high quality staff and supervision. All counselors are CPR and First Aid Certified, and certified lifeguards will be on deck for all pool activities. LUNCHES/SNACKS/PROGRAM LOCATION: All participants will need to bring their own lunch every day. Drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the day. The majority of the activities will take place in the Health, Physical Education, and Recreation (HPER) building, the Milo Bail Student Center, the surrounding UNO Campus, Memorial Park, and Elmwood Park. ACTIVITIES: We do our best to program all of our activities around the weekly themes. We have presentations from the UNO or Omaha community, art projects, hands-on classroom sessions and field trips based on those themes. Attendees will also participate in a variety of physical activities in a high energetic, yet non-competitive environment. Once a week, the camp will leave the UNO Campus for a half or full day field trip. Parents will be notified at the beginning of each week where the program will go.
Registration Dates & Times:
One of the goals of the Mav Kids Summer Day Camp is to provide summer programming for the families of UNO students, faculty, and staff. Our registration is first open to our UNO community and as space allows we include the Omaha community. All registrations will be held in the HPER Building.
