Mission Statement:

The mission of the Mav Kids Youth Program is to enrich the lives of children by offering experiences that are unique, educational, physically active and safely operated on the University of Nebraska Omaha campus.

 

Philosophy:

The Mav Kids Youth Program strives to provide:

1. Safe Programs
This is the most important consideration when designing and conducting programs for children. Safety considerations run through all aspects of our structure. Safety is a major criterion when decisions are made.

2. Productive Programs
We want to provide programs that have purpose and are productive use of time. The programs are to provide children with opportunities to learn. Structure helps to assure that the programs are organized and provide a framework in which to implement our educational activities.

3. Fun Programs
Programs should be a fun place for children to engage in educational, recreational, and physical activities. We strive to provide activities that children of elementary school age will thoroughly enjoy. Activities are age appropriate and hopefully build positive feelings among children through their participation.
