| Policy U-1 Authorized Users of the HPER Building |
| The HPER Building may be used for recreational purposes by any currently enrolled UNO student who has paid appropriate UPF Fees or a person who is a holder of a properly validated Campus Recreation activity card. The person must present valid I.D. card or have their hand biometrically scanned upon entering the building. Any person not having proper I.D. or refuses the biometric scan will be denied recreational access to the building. Any UNO student ID or Campus Recreation activity cards not belonging to the holder of the card will be confiscated. |
| A student may purchase an activity card for his/her spouse and any dependent children, 18 - 22 years of age. A UNO faculty or staff member may purchase an activity card for his/her spouse and any dependent children 18 - 22 years of age. |
| A student, faculty or staff of UNMC may purchase an activity card. The UNMC activity card holder may also purchase a card for his/her spouse. |
| A student taking off campus classes for credit may purchase a Campus Recreation activity card for the same rate charged for a UNO activity card. |
| A member of the UNO Alumni Association may purchase an activity card. Alumni, in the first year after graduation, may purchase an activity card at a reduced rate. Alumni may also purchase a card for his/her spouse. |
| A Regent of the University of Nebraska, and retired UNO faculty or staff may purchase an activity card.. A UNO student enrolled during the previous Spring semester, but not during the Summer session, may purchase an activity card for the Summer. |
| A UNL or UNK student enrolled at his/her institution during the Spring semester, but not during the Summer session, may purchase an activity card for summer use of the HPER Building at UNO. The fee for the purchase of this card will be the current UNMC rate. Holiday and spring break passes are also available to UNL & UNK students. |
| Policy U-2 Use of HPER Building By Children |
| A Child, under the age of 18, sponsored by a UNO student or Campus Recreation activity card holder may use the HPER building during designated hours and may participate in specially designated children's programs. The following rules apply: |
| A child must be accompanied by the sponsor at all times. A child 16 years of age or older may participate in a different part of the building than their sponsor, but the sponsor must remain in the building. |
| UNO students and activity card holders may sponsor their own children and up to TWO additional children. |
| Prior to participation, a parent must sign in the child at the Campus Recreation Control Desk. A sponsored child 16 years old and older may use the weight rooms and/or running track. |
| A child may not be left unattended in the hallway outside of the racquetball courts, weight rooms, jogging track, pool, activity courts, or lounge. |
| Summer camp participants are excluded from this policy while participating in camp activities. |
| Policy U-7 HPER Building Rules |
| The following rules will be enforced within the HPER Building for the safety and enjoyment of all participants. |
| All promotional material from campus organizations outside of the School of HPER may be posted in the HPER Building. |
| All promotional material must be approved for posting by the Campus Recreation Office and Student Activities Office. |
| All promotional material may only be posted on the bulletin boards. |
| Campus Recreation retains the right to limit the number, location, and duration of the posting. |
| To check out a key from the Campus Recreation office, an individual must have written authorization from the appropriate room coordinator. |
| Lockers are available for use by all Campus Recreation participants for a rental fee. |
| Long term use lockers, including towel service, are available for a fee to all UNO students and activity card holders. A security deposit is required. |
| Racquetball/handball and squash courts may be reserved. |
| Each person may reserve a court for one, half hour period per day. |
| Maximum reservation for three or more players will be 1-1/2 hours. |
| Reservations may be made in person at Central Issue or by phone 554-3231 on the same day needed. |
| Lost articles may be turned in to the Campus Recreation Control Desk. |
| A participant displaying inappropriate or offensive behavior or language may be asked to leave the facility. |
| Campus Recreation will follow University guidelines and polices for drug and alcohol use. |
