Eligibility
Everyone is eligible. UNO prices are for anyone with a current UNO Student ID card or a HPER Activity Card. General Public (GP) prices are for all other renters.

Reservations
Equipment may be reserved up to four days in advance. Cancellation of reservation will result in forfeiture of a portion or all of the deposit. Reservations are taken only in person and a security deposit must be made.

Security Deposits
A $25 deposit is required for all UNO rentals and a $50 deposit is required for all GP rentals. A deposit may be made in cash, check, or charge. Due to university procedures, deposit checks for equipment rented for longer than one week must be cashed by the university. Deposits are held until the OVC staff has checked over the returned equipment. If you fail to return equipment when we are open, or if you cannot wait until the equipment is checked, then you will not get an immediate return of your deposit. If there is a penalty, a delay in the return of your deposit may result.

Pick-up and Return of Equipment
Please allow at least 15 minutes when picking up (or returning) equipment so that the staff and you can verify its condition. You will be asked to assist with the check-in process by setting up the tent, unpacking the sleeping bags, or unloading canoes. Please bring equipment in more than 30 minutes before the OVC closes, or there may be a delay in the return of your deposit.

Fines and Fees
Equipment must be returned in as good a condition as when it was rented. Additional charges for lost, dirty, or wet returns will be assessed. Your rental will be automatically extended and additional rental fees will be collected upon return of late equipment. Please call the OVC (554-2258) to extend your rental and avoid late fees.
