Group Exercise Course Descriptions

BECOMING A FITTER YOU: Join Brett, Ben, and Kelsey for UNO’s premium group exercise class. Learn how to exercise safely and effectively. Using functional movements, weight lifting, and aerobics to improve your strength, cardiovascular endurance, stamina, balance, power, and much more!

BODY TONING: This class is geared toward any level of fitness. It is designed to increase both muscle strength and muscle tone.

BOOTCAMP: This class mixes traditional calisthenic and body weight exercises with interval training and strength training. It’s a high-calorie burn class and is designed to push you to your max.

CYCLE CIRCUIT: Instructors will give you a great leg conditioning and cardio workout. Perfect for people who want a challenge but like to have control over their difficulty level.

EXPRESS CYCLE: An intense workout performed on a stationary bike as a way to help increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance. A typical class will start with a warm-up followed by a simulation of hilly and flat rides. You will pedal at different speeds and perform intervals of standing and sitting.

INDOOR CYCLING: This class is a complete cardiovascular workout including a 5 minute warm-up, 40 minutes of cardio work (various intensities) and a 5 minute cool-down. All levels of fitness welcome.

KICKBOXING: Kickboxing blends athletic drills with martial arts to create an intense cardiovascular workout. All levels welcome.

TURBO KICK: Get your heart pumping with a mix of cardio kickboxing and core strengthening moves. All levels welcome.

YOGA: Yoga uses slow movements and stretching. It is good for increasing flexibility and balance. It is also good for relieving stress and relaxing. All levels welcome.

YOGA/PILATES FUSION: Move, breathe, stretch, and strengthen with this dynamic blend of Yoga and Pilates. It will leave you refreshed, energized, and relaxed. Perfect to get you over the mid-week hump!

YOGA FIT: This class is a blend of Hatha Yoga and core strengthening movement designed to burn calories, tone muscle, ensure posture alignment and generate body/mind awareness.

ZUMBA: Zumba is a fitness program inspired by Latin dance. Zumba combines moves from salsa, bachata, merengue, and chachacha. It is based on the principle that a workout should be fun, and easy to do. Zumba is a “feel-happy” workout that is great for both the body and mind. All levels welcome.

ZUMBA GOLD: Zumba designed for the active, mature adult or those new to Zumba. Fun and easy to do Latin dance movements improve balance, strength and flexibility while providing a cardio workout.
